Foreigner dies in Valletta incident
A 59-year-old foreigner died earlier this afternoon after falling and losing consciousness while walking on the street above Santa Barbara Bastion in Valletta.
The man was assisted by a doctor who witness the scene but died shortly after in hospital.
An autopsy will be held on Monday morning.

It is `St Barbara Bastion`. `Santa Barbara` is a town in California, as well as the name of a popular 1980s soap opera.

I hope that he did not fall in the disastrous state the pavements have in Valletta.
Once I reported to theValletta local council that there was a huge hole pavement near the Customs House in Lascaris Wharf. Tourists with buggies and eldery people found it difficult to go past through some of them even fell down. Their reply was it was there are plans that the pavement will be newly done in the near future.
