Doujon Zammit's funeral to be held on Tuesday

The funeral of Doujon Zammit, who beaten into a coma on the Greek island of Mykonos, is to be held on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Church at Horsley Park, in Sydney.

The church is run by Maltese priests, members of the Missionary Society of St Paul. The Maltese High Commissioner in Australia, Francis Tabone, will attend.

Doujon Zammit, a 20-year-old Maltese-Australian, lost his battle for life three days at the Errikos Dinan intensive care unit, which is now to be named after him.

His organs were donated. As a show of gratitude for the kind gesture, the Hellenic Red Cross will be awarding the Golden Cross to the Zammit family.

The lifeless body of the young man arrived in Australia yesterday morning. Oliver Zammit, Doujon's father, Cameron Tabone, his 18-year-old cousin who suffered a broken nose and wrist in the attack, and Tabone's father Hugh, together with Oliver's only brother Joe, were on the same flight.

A 25-year-old bouncer, who worked at the Tropicana Club on Paradise Beach, remains in custody after being charged with Doujon's murder.
