No change in Karl Chircop's condition

Labour MP Karl Chircop's condition, described as very serious, has not improved, a Health Division spokesman said yesterday.

Dr Chircop, who turned 43 yesterday, was hospitalised on Sunday evening after suffering a stroke.

President Eddie Fenech Adami visited Dr Chircop yesterday morning. He spoke to the MP's family and expressed his solidarity with them at this difficult moment.

The Local Councils Association joined other organisations in expressing their solidarity.

The association said that at this most difficult time, mayors, deputy mayors, councillors and employees of local councils unite to wish Dr Chircop a recovery.

The association said he was a living example of good practice in politics.
