Frank Psaila has been approved as the new information director of the Nationalist Party during a meeting of the party's executive committee on Wednesday.

He succeeds Gordon Pisani.

Dr Psaila, 27, a lawyer by profession, had occupied the post of public relations official of the Christian Democrat Students (SDM) and since 2007 information secretary of the Natioinalist Party Youth Movement. During that year he was also elected councillor at Luqa.

He was also active within the PN's Information Office during the last electoral campaign.

Dr Psaila produced a number of discussion programmes on Radio 101 and is a regular contributor to PN newspapers.
