A video conference training session organised by the training academy at the Courts of Justice in Malta was attended, virtually and for the first time, by staff at the Gozo Law Courts. Specific procedures were explained in detail in order to establish uniform and common work practices.
The session was conducted by Aldo Testone, director Civil Courts and Tribunals in Malta, while the Gozo Courts' officers, led by Mary Debono Borg, Director Gozo Courts and Tribunals, could participate and intervene in real time during the video conferencing session.
The Minister for Gozo Giovanna Debono followed part of the session.
The video conferencing system at the Ministry for Gozo makes possible such training sessions without the need for participants to commute between the islands.
