With its new Dynamics AX 2009 (formerly known as Axapta) enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, Microsoft intends to provide a solution for improved productivity to medium- and large-size companies, especially in manufacturing, e-business, wholesale and services industries.
Microsoft says its Dynamics AX is an adaptable business-management solution that enables business decision-makers to move with confidence. It works like other familiar software like Office applications, Outlook and SQL Server, thus making it easier for users to learn and run effectively. Speaking about about Dynamics AX 2009 and its offerings Mogens Elsberg, general manager ERP Microsoft Dynamics, said: "There are a number of key features that will make a big difference to customers. Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 provides improved user productivity through its new RoleTailored design, a familiar user interface, its self-service business intelligence and reporting tools, and new features to help manage the complexities of a global organisation."
Indeed, the need to bring everything together seems to be a top requirement in the globalised economy.
"In my opinion, the perception of ERP has changed fundamentally over the past five years," he explained. Crimsonwing is also one of a small group of accredited Dynamics-AX mobile developers and is the first Dynamics-AX partner in the UK to achieve certification in this area as well as having sold this solution to a client in Wales. Thus, it believes it is well placed to deliver the productivity and competitiveness gain that properly integrated systems can bring.
