Leandross Cutajar, 24 of Cospicua was today jailed for five months after he pleaded guilty in court to handling stolen property worth over €232. He denied relapsing.

In another case, Mark Cauchi, 28 of Paola, pleaded not guilty to having been involved in a theft from a car on June 12 in Paola to the detriment of Sharon Grima. He was accused of having stolen a handbag containig credit cards, a mobile phone and cash for a total value of over €232. He also denied damaging the car.

Magistrate Edwina Grima ordered that he be placed under house arrest against a personal guarantee of €4,000.
