A 22-year-old man was yesterday jailed for three years and 10 months after he admitted to trafficking in heroin and cocaine.
Melvin Pace of Żabbar admitted to trafficking in the drugs and relapsing.
Magistrate Anthony Vella heard how Mr Pace was arrested on Sunday morning during a drugs raid at the housing estate in Żabbar.
Police Inspector Jesmond Borg said that after arresting two people who had bought drugs from Mr Pace, the police carried out a raid on his residence and found packets of heroin and cocaine ready for trafficking as well as drug-related paraphernalia.
Taking into consideration Mr Pace's admission and the fact that he had relapsed, Magistrate Vella jailed Mr Pace for three years and 10 months.
Lawyer Richard Sladden appeared for Mr Pace.
