Council takes road markings into its own hands

I would like to draw the attention of Żabbar citizens to certain problems which the local council is continuously being confronted with, amongst which are those concerning the ADT.

Continuous complaints come in on the unacceptable state of the Marsascala bypass, Triq il-Mina ta' Hompesch, Triq tal-Labour and Triq iċ- Ċawsli.

Deep and consequently dangerous potholes need attention on a regular basis.

The refreshing of road markings has been neglected for far too long.

In the circumstances, our council has had no option but to draw the ADT's attention to the matter but, ad nauseam, the reply was, "Funds are not available". Seemingly, these things happen only for Żabbar.

To partly eliminate these problems the council has decided to finance, especially, the refreshing of road markings, a task which was supposed to have been carried out by the central government.

We, therefore, invite the ADT to state whether the content of this letter is correct and tell us in the meantime when immediate action will be taken.
