Chelsea inflicted a heavy 5-0 defeat on Milan in a warm-up match in Moscow yesterday. Four goals from France striker Nicolas Anelka secured Chelsea a handsome victory in the third-place play-off of the Railways Cup pre-season tournament after Frank Lampard opened the scoring.
Milan's Brazilian stalwart Kaka, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, did not feature as his team turned in a miserable display, typified by some comically inept goalkeeping by Zeljko Kalac.
Sevilla won the tournament after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 3-0 in the final. Ivory Coast's Ndri Romaric and Arouna Kone put the Spaniards 2-0 up after 23 minutes before Uruguayan Ernesto Chevanton added the third to finish off the hosts eight minutes from time.
