Karl is a chip of the old block. His father, my cousin, was Dr. Charles Chircop. Charles was a great gentleman, much beloved by all his family and friends. His sudden death rocked and shocked the whole family. It was an immense blow to his wife Marion and her children, Mariza, Karl and Tatyana who was just 12. I vividly remember that dreadful day and those that followed how difficult it was to cope with life. And now, wonders of wonders on Karl's 43rd year Nature decides again to hit us another devastating blow. Smiling, gentle and kind hearted Karl is in deep sleep.
My beloved cousin Karl is to me, a son, a brother and a dearest friend. I, like the rest of the family feel safe because of him.
The family is deeply moved by the shower of support and prayers coming from over our Malta. And I assure you miracles are happening. Please continue to pray for Karl.
To Karl's Guardian Angel I implore with all humility to send Karl back to us who need and miss him so very much.

Dr Karl was my late mum's personal Doctor during the period she suffered from a mild stroke, he was invariably very patient , caring and got on well with his elderly patients. It is indeed very sad that such a true gentleman should be going through this at such a young age. May the good lord keep his hand upon you in your time of need.

I have known Karl Chircop and his family for quite a number of years. We have collaborated with him throughout the years in many ways. The people of Gudja were really shocked upon hearing this news. They all know Karl very well as he resides in their village, and he's like a part of the family for many Gudjani to whom he's not only one of the their local representatives in Parliament but also their family doctor. Although I must have been one of the first to learn about Karl's serious condition late last night I am still reeling from the shock. Bad news is never welcome irrespective of the people concerned. But the shock becomes deeper when you suddenly realise that a close colleague and a personal friend who was doing his utmost in his new role as main spokesperson for Health and with whom I have shared many a joke has suddenly and unexpectedly found himself in this deeply critical condition. After having been in touch with his family since early this morning and having visited him some two hours ago I feel duty bound to appeal to one and all to pray for him in this very difficult moment.
