Environmental appointment

Gozo Bishop Mario Grech has appointed Pauline Grech as his delegate for environmental affairs.

Ms Grech, who is assistant superior general of the MUSEUM female section, was educated at the University of Malta and specialised in biology. For a number of years she worked with UNEP on the contamination of the Mediterranean sea.

Her thesis, Awareness of the Maltese Natural Environment: A Survey, was published by the foundation of International Studies of the University of Malta.

Ms Grech was a member of Fond għall-Ambjent for many years.

Currently, she is the head of Għajnsielem Primary.
