Among the features of this new iPAQ, which weighs just 146g, are: fast, efficient text entry with the integrated 'QWERTY' keyboard; the ability to listen and reply to e-mail hands free with HP voice commander and HP voice replay, and to make calls and access the Internet around the world.

Ergonomic features include a scroll wheel, five-way navigation pad, two soft keys, send/end buttons, reset button, volume control and voice command.

Thanks to Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the iPAQ 914c runs mobile versions of familiar business tools such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Other pre-installed software includes Internet Explorer Mobile, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Active Sync, calendar, contacts, tasks, voice recorder and notes.

The display is a 2.46-inch transmissive TFT, 65K colours, 320 x 240 pixel touch panel with LED backlight. Other wireless connectivity is enabled through Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR.
