Airport project well done

It is always extremely difficult to undertake a major renovation project without closing down the place.

This is certainly much more difficult when the site is a major international airport used by thousands of passengers a day.

The Malta International Airport must be very strongly congratulated on their project to upgrade services at the airport without ever disrupting the normal work there.

The transit to a new Schengen area, a new departure area as well as a multitude of other changes could not have been done in a smoother way. It is not normal for us in Malta to manage such a project with this level of success.

The only comment one could make was that the temporary boards were not always what one would expect (but then when are they well done in Malta). Apart from this one minor element the rest was handled in an excellent way and the passengers could hardly notice the changes being made.

Once more MIA must be praised for a job well done and certainly very well managed.
