Suspect helping police over theme park pools claims

The police will be pressing charges against an individual who allegedly spread rumours about the water quality of the pools at the Splash and Fun Waterpark in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, Leisure and Theme Park Ltd, its operators, said yesterday.

The company denied what it described as malicious allegations and rumours being circulated via SMS, e-mail and word of mouth with regard to the safety of the water in its pools.

The operators said the pools are regularly checked by Assure Food and Water Safety Consulting Co. Ltd, which always found the water to be clear and safe.

The company said it was collaborating closely with the police investigating these allegations.
