Children, adults, car enthusiasts, music lovers, folk buffs and military fanatics could all enjoy themselves at one go during the first appointment in the 2008 edition of BOV Streets Alive in Valletta. BOV Streets are held every Friday for three consecutive weeks offering artistic, cultural and fun events for the family in the streets of Valletta.
Last Friday, San Ġorġ Square hosted the Malta Police Band and the Police Silent Drill while Great Siege Square hosted Show Biz High, by the Batista Leisure Group, followed by a performance of Golden Memories by Paul Abela and his Big Band.
Freedom Square hosted a display by the Old Motors Club.
Other attractions included a Children's Corner in Republic Street, a Mini Owners Club and Ford Classics Display at Merchants Street, a concert by the Union Brass Quintet at Auberge d'Italie and a performance by the Għaxaq Folk and Pop Ensemble at Queen Square.
A village band entertained those present around the main streets of Valletta.
BOV Streets Alive is organised by Valletta Alive Foundation in collaboration with Bank of Valletta and with the support of the Ministry for Tourism and Culture, the Malta Tourism Authority and Allied Newspapers.
