The Malta Hospice Movement recently held their its annual summer barbecue at La Bajja rooftop restaurant, Le Meridien Hotel and Spa, St Julian's.

Over 250 people attended to support the non-profit charity.

Entertainment was provided by singer Ray Zammit and his band. The movement provides palliative care - a specialised form of treatment which includes services and support on a physical, emotional, social and spiritual level for people suffering from cancer or motor neurone disease and their families. Care is provided at home or at the movement's day centre.

The services provided are free of charge.
