External professor at the University of Pisa

Gordon Caruana Dingli has been appointed external professor (professore a contratto) at the University of Pisa where he will lecture trainee surgeons at the university.

Prof. Caruana Dingli graduated MD from the University of Malta in 1984 and underwent postgraduate surgical training in Malta, the UK, and Italy, leading to the Fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

He is a consultant general and breast surgeon, and a lecturer and examiner at the University of Malta.

He is also president of the Association of Surgeons of Malta and secretary general of the Medical Association of Malta (MAM) and represents Malta on the surgical section of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
