Muscat watches and listens

Students yesterday found an attentive ear in the form of Labour leader Joseph Muscat, who talked to practically every one of them about their art - on display at St James Cavalier, Valletta.

Dr Muscat yesterday visited the exhibition, the seventh in a series, which features a display of projects created by the students of the Institute of Art and Design, at the Malta College for Arts Science and Technology.

The students carefully explained the concept behind their individual projects, stressing their points of departure and tracing the evolution of their creations.

Dr Muscat remarked that Malta possessed immense artistic talent, and these students had a lot of potential which deserved to be developed.

He also said MCAST was fulfilling the objective of offering alternative opportunities to those students who were not interested in mainstream academic subjects.
