BoV has installed a new automated teller machine (ATM) at the Embassy Complex in Valletta. This ATM is equipped with the latest touch screen technology to replace the traditional screen tactile buttons.

This new ATM strengthens BoV's position as the bank which operates the largest ATM network in Malta and Gozo. It also confirms BoV's position as a technological innovator in this field. Recently, the bank also introduced the first ATM fully protected with ink stain technology on the market.

"We are pleased to launch yet another first from Bank of Valletta," Ray Azzopardi, executive head responsible for IT services at Bank of Valletta, said. Touch screen ATMs are a highly efficient channel through which customers can carry out remote banking transactions."

"We operate over 70 ATMs around Malta and Gozo, which are extremely popular with customers who make an average of over half a million transactions every month," Mr Azzopardi said. "Our ATM network is also the only one that may be used to top-up any mobile phone."

Meanwhile, the bank has announced an extension of its opening hours at some of its most frequented branches.

A selection of branches will be open in the afternoon between 4 and 7 p.m. on specific days offering a wide range of banking services:

The Zejtun and Zebbug branches will operate extended afternoon hours on Mondays and Fridays; the Qormi and Preluna Towers (Sliema) branches on Wednesdays and Fridays; Malta International Airport branch on Mondays; Mosta on Wednesdays; and Siġġiewi on Fridays.

"We are conscious that in summer, people's daily routine is altered due to various reasons," Alan Cassar, executive head responsible for BoV's branch network, said.
