Net News carried he welcome and much-awaited news that the Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism, Mario de Marco has finally authorised the installation of cameras in the Paceville and St Julians.

Well done for the first-class move by the authorities. At least, the residents in this area can now sleep at night.

Perhaps the parliamentary secretary can do something similar in other areas, like Qui-Si-Sana. It is possible that the installation of cameras is too costly but I am sure we can have police on the beat in this area during the late evenings. The behaviour of some so-called students returning from I do not know where is terrible. Residents are now fed up. Please act before it is too late.

Malta needs better quality tourists. It is quality that counts not quantity.
