The 28th edition of the Farsons Great Beer Festival starts at Ta' Qali Park this evening at eight and will continue entertaining patrons daily till August 3.

The programme on the main stage kicks off with a performance by Klinsmann followed by the Big Band Brothers. The Rock Stage, this year hosted by XFM, will feature the bands Cable 35, BNI and The Rifffs.

As the title suggest, the main attraction of the Farsons Great Beer Festival is of course the selection of Farsons beer brands.

Throughout the duration of the festival, over 40 performances will be presented on two separate stages, featuring shows by some of the top singers and musicians in Malta.

The Greek Theatre will be the location for daily half-hour stunt shows by four Irish stunt bikers, members of the Irish Trialstar trial bike and bicycle team. The shows are held daily at 9.30 p.m.

Curtain Raiser will again be entertaining the children in the Kids Fantasyland.

The festival is sponsored by Vodafone Malta Limited, the Malta Tourism Authority, Gasan Enterprises Limited and HSBC. Other sponsors include Alert Communications, Wilkinson Sword, Walkers, Algida, Fotoclassic, Mailbox, Tuc, Energizer and St John's Rescue Corps.

A full programme of the entertainment line-up can be viewed at www.farsons.com/beerfestival.

Entrance and parking are free of charge.
