Suspected drug trafficker arrested

A 56-year-old Maltese man resident in Gozo has been arrested by the police on suspicion of trafficking heroin.

The man had been under surveillance for a number of days and it was established that he was selling drugs in Gozo, the police said. Packets of heroin were found on his person and at his farm near Munxar,

Cash and weighing scales were seized during the operation. Investigations are continuing.
