From green to blue
No doubt, the warden system has instilled in us a sense of discipline in our road ethic totally absent in pre-warden days. However, justice should always prevail. A case in point is parking in Valletta. Tickets are issued in a slipshod happy-go-lucky...
No doubt, the warden system has instilled in us a sense of discipline in our road ethic totally absent in pre-warden days.
However, justice should always prevail. A case in point is parking in Valletta.
Tickets are issued in a slipshod happy-go-lucky way to commuters who park on the blue lines reserved for Valletta residents.
I would have no qualms about this if the Valletta council would carry out the maintenance necessary to have us see the difference between green and blue.
But when the street grit covers the lines let alone the hues, and it is past 8 p.m. and street lighting , if any, only casts shadows, well then, I'm afraid, it would be more in line with the warden's duties to bring up the issue with the authority concerned!
