Beijing will put its last tranche of 820,000 Olympic tickets on sale at booths scattered around Olympic venues on Friday, Games organisers said yesterday.
Some 250,000 of the tickets would be for Beijing-based events, with the rest for soccer qualifiers held in co-host cities Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang and Qinhuangdao, the Beijing Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (BOCOG) said on its website.
"Although not every event has tickets left, there are tickets available at events in all Olympic venues," Beijing Olympics ticketing director Zhu Yan said.
Prospective buyers would be limited to two tickets at the same competition, BOCOG said. Locations of the booths would be posted on the Olympic ticketing website, it added.
Beijing's sales of seven million-odd Olympic tickets have been swift, but not without incident.
Prospective buyers complained on blogs and Internet chat-rooms of not being able to complete purchases after the third batch of tickets was released in May .
