Kavallieri dominated the scene recently when they scooped most of the annual awards for their exploits in 2007/08 competitions organised by the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU). The presentations were held at the Eden Lodge, Żurrieq.

Daniel Grima, of Kavallieri, was named MRFU Best Player for season 2007-08 with 33.3 per cent of the votes.

Kavallieri, the champions, clinched the Team of the Season accolade and their mentor Richard Beerman walked off with the Coach of the Season award.

In the women's category, Victoria Aquilina won the best player award while Sharks were named team of the season.

Best coach: C. Longo (Sharks).
Most promising player: S. Zahra (Sharks).

Most Promising Talent: M. Ward (Alligators).
Best match official: S. Busuttil.
Referees Society Fair Play Award: Alligators RFC.
Personality of the Year: N. Gatt.
Domestic Retirement Awards: J. Cornthwaite (Stompers); A. Grech Sant (Kavallieri); R. Parnis England (Alligators).
Lifetime Achievement: B. Corlett.
