Valletta winger Cleaven Frendo will play no part in the second leg of the Champions League match away to Slovakia's Artmedia Petrzalka tomorrow (kick-off: 8.15 p.m.) due to an ankle injury.

The Malta international is expected to be out for up to three weeks as he is currently undergoing rehabilitation on a nagging knee problem he suffered last season.

Frendo, one of four Maltese signings Valletta made in the close season, replaced Dyson Falzon in the 77th minute of last Tuesday's first leg match against Artmedia, which the Citizens lost 2-0.

Despite his unavailability, the 23-year-old Frendo is expected to travel to Slovakia with the rest of his Valletta team-mates this afternoon.

Apart from Frendo, Valletta have no other injury problems ahead of their trip to Bratislava.

As the Citizens are scheduled to arrive in Slovakia this evening, coach Paul Zammit is planning to hold a light training session tonight and another one tomorrow morning at the TJ Senec Stadium, the venue of the Champions League encounter against FC Artmedia.
