The weekend Malta Rock and Jazz Festival, a regular event on the cultural calendar and one of the summer highlights, ended last night, having offered a mix of established Maltese and foreign artistes.

Held once again at the Valletta Waterfront, and organised by NnG Promotions, the festival is recognised as part of the international summer festival circuit and this year's guests included a multi-talented choice of musicians.

The festival ended last night with Dominic Galea & Co. followed by Curved Air and Sarah Jane Morris.

Other performers over the weekend included Greenhouse, featuring Nadine Axisa; the band Stones World, Cuba's leading Son music group, Sierra Maestra; the Mizarolli Axe Phenomenon; Gwyn Ashton and former Genesis lead singer, Ray Wilson.
