Four held over drugs

Four men were arrested in Paceville on Saturday night after they were allegedly caught in possession of drugs, the police said yesterday.

One of the men was a 25-year-old Ethiopian who lives in Marsa. The police said he was in possession of several pieces of cannabis resin that were prepared for trafficking. A 31-year-old Libyan residing in Siġġiewi who was with him at the time of the raid was also arrested.

Later that night, two 17-year-old French students were arrested for allegedly smoking cannabis.

Duty Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera was informed.

The police are investigating.
