In 2006 a Maltese gentleman built his own boat, similar to a luzzu, at Lyme Regis Boatyard, Dorset , England. He planned to sail it via the French canal system back to Malta.

I am frequently in Malta and next due in October. I represent Model Boat International Magazine and would like to offer him dinner at The Phoenicia when I arrive for his advice and skill re building a model luzzu for the magazine readers.
