Basketball - Olympic qualifiers
Croatia's Marko Popovic is fouled by Germany's Demond Greene during the FIBA Olympic basketball qualifier in Athens. Croatia secured a spot in the Beijing Games last night when they beat favourites Germany 76-70 in a tight Olympic qualifying tournament semi-final. The Germans will now need to win today's 3rd and 4th place play-off match against the loser of the other semi-final between Greece and Puerto Rico to qualify.
