The Body Shop Malta recently donated €2,500 to Għabex, run by Appoġġ, and €2,500 to Dar Tereża Spinelli, managed by Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem. The donations were made in line with the international fund-raising campaign 'Stop Violence in the Home'.
Body Shop Malta director Simone Mizzi visited Dar Tereża Spinelli to present the donation, which was raised by staff from four Body Shop outlets. The donation will go towards a play area and study room for children. After visiting Dar Tereża Spinelli, Ms Mizzi paid a visit to Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem, where chairman Catherine Galea said funds would go towards upgrading the shelter facilities - securing the wooden balconies and creating a gazebo for children to play in.
The Body Shop, together with professionals from the shelters, will also help the victims with well-being activities, such as massage, make-up and grooming.
