Corpse is of Somali fisherman
The corpse discovered at sea last night has been confirmed to be that of Somali fisherman Abdulrahman Abdala Gedi, police said.
The 21-year-old was on board the ill-fated fishing boat, Simshar, with four other Maltese crew members. He is said to have been working with the Maltese crew for about four months.
Simon Bugeja, the only survivor, said Mr Gedi was the first to succumb to the seas and died on Saturday, July 12. An autopsy will be held tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the AFM is still searching for Mr Bugeja's son Theo, 11, the only person from the wreck, who has not been found yet. There are also some 18 fishing boats out at sea helping in the search.

What a shame for a person to lose his life at such an early age. Then there's the 11 year old Theo and the other two victims plus the surviving victim and the families and friends who'll carry painful emotional scars all his life.
Only consolation they have is that all the country are feeling sadness for them.

Madonna tar-Ruzarju ta' Pompei, you know how much we Xlukkajri love you. Help these families in this extremely difficult time and I am still praying you for another miracle - to find Teo alive.
