"All I would like is for you to go and speak about what you saw, what has been done so far and what still needs to be done.'' We heard these words last Monday from Fr Michael Agius when my parents and I went to see the progress at the sanctuary of Divine Mercy in San Pawl tat-Tarġa. We should be very proud of the fact that in a few months' time we will see the completion of the third sanctuary worldwide dedicated to the Divine Mercy.

It has only been a few months since Archbishop Paul Cremona entrusted the completion of the sanctuary to Fr Michael and, in this short time, great progress has been made. In fact, if all goes to plan, the sanctuary should be ready by the end of the year. However, to do this, he needs help.

Fr Michael is in dire need of funds and I am sure that there are many people devoted to the Divine Mercy who are willing to help. Let us help him fulfill the task that he has been entrusted with.

Donations can be addressed to: Santwarju Ġesu Ħniena Divina, Triq Santa Marija, San Pawl Tat-Tarġa, NXR 1400.

All donations will be acknowledged. I am sure we will not disappoint him and help him to make the inaugural Mass in the sanctuary an unforgettable experience that we can look forward to in the very near future.

As we drove away, we saw a solitary figure re-enter the sanctuary. Fr Michael had gone back to single-handedly shift granite slabs in readiness for the workmen to lay the next day.

Anyone who is willing to help Fr Michael in the very many things that still need to be done can contact him on 7961 8727.
