Part-time courses in Baroque architecture

Two part-time courses in Baroque architecture organised by the International Institute for Baroque Studies at the University of Malta with the cooperation of the Resources and Rural Affairs Ministry will open in October.

The courses are at certificate (one year) and diploma (two years) levels and supplement the MA course in Baroque Studies.

The restoration programme of Malta's Baroque architecture, which dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries, requires a deep knowledge of the history and various technical aspects of this style, as well as trained personnel.

It was for this reason that the University's international institute took the initiative, once again, to launch the two courses, the government said.

More information and how to apply can be obtained from www.um.edu.mt or from course coordinator Hermann Bonnici on hermann.bonnici@gov.mt.
