Tennis Club Kordin has been a hive of activity this week with a large number of players taking part in a Tennis Europe ranking tournament for juniors.
The competition, sponsored by San Michel, is being hosted by the TCK in conjunction with the Malta Tennis Federation.
Following her successful participation in the ITF world junior ranking tournament at Marsa earlier this year, Kimberly Cassar has once again proved herself as one of the leading players in Malta by reaching the final at the Tennis Club Kordin.
Cassar was the eighth seed but still managed to reach the final, eliminating no.4 Seed Grazzia Ripepi and top seed Sofia Zengou in the process.
The final is scheduled for today at 4 p.m. Cassar meets Stefania Gattuso. The Italian started the tournament seeded at no.5.
Cassar has also progressed to the final of the girls' doubles together with partner Janine Ruhstaller.
