Seasonally-adjusted production in the construction sector increased by 0.2 per cent in the euro area (EA15) and by 0.3 per cent in the EU27 in May when compared to the previous month. Estimates released by Eurostat show that in April production dropped by 0.6 per cent and 0.5 per cent respectively.

Compared to the same month last year, output this May fell by 1.1 per cent in the euro area but gained 0.7 per cent in the EU27.
