The strike by transport operators and its negative effects on the economy (2)
We should be thankful for the public transport strike. The air quality will be improved tremendously when the buses stay away from the roads for a few days.
And isn't it nice when you can drive in peace and not meet any rude and ruthless drivers?
There could be solutions to this issue:
1. Don't die anymore, so avoid needing the hearses.
2. Either walk every distance or get an own car and drive it yourself, so avoid needing the buses.

What a load of crap! How do You know how our roads were during the strike, all the way from Germany? I can assure you that they were everthing but peaceful. The drivers were not only rude but violent. So get your facts straight first before you put pen to paper. The last 4 days were Hell !

Actually, I do wonder whether thousands of cars pollute more than hundreds of buses.
And anyway it took me longer to drive to work this morning now that the strike is over, than it took me any other morning this week..... so much for the 'extra thousands of cars' on the road.

All my family is in Malta reporting me about all every day. My brother told me yesterday that he could breathe while walking in streets like never before.
Sure, there are still tousands of cars which pull a cloud of black smoke behind them. I always ask myself how they manage to pass the VRT.
But probably they have friends or friends of friends or relatives or friends of relatives or relatives of friends who can persuade the testing person to make the stamp without big hassle.
Do you know the "SMS for clean air"? Several times I sent messages reporting smoking cars, and so did friends and other people I know. I know for sure that at least three cars were reported by at least 5 different numbers (all neighbours of the said person), but the car is still running and polluting our area.
Malta has one big problem: Enforcement is nowhere!

Thats a neat trick that you can determine how our air quality is doing over here in Malta from Germany.
Sorry Mario, but you didnt really think your letter through did you? How about the extra thousands of cars replacing the couple of hundred busses? Thousands of cars or a few hundred busses? You do the maths.
