Joseph Calleja's Tribute To Pavarotti (1)

I would like to congratulate all concerned for a great musical night that was offered to us last Saturday evening in Valletta.

It is very rare on this island that we get the opportunity to spend "an evening with opera" and to have done so in the company of Joseph Calleja's unique voice coupled with the back-up of two first-class singers, really makes for a memorable evening. The memorable evening also gave all of us the opportunity to appreciate the great strides forward that the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra has made over the past few years.

On Saturday, under the baton of Brian Schembri, they did a truly wonderful job of it !

I must also congratulate the organisers, NnG Promotions, for their usual high standards of organisation.

Of course, things were not perfect, as is usual with any event this size; but, really, the imperfections can only be noticed because things were so smoothly organised.

I have spent a lifetime going to concerts around the world and I can certainly say that the standards that NnG are consistently achieving are among the highest for any concert organisation around Europe.
