Accused of attempted serious bodily harm
A 34-year-old man from Birżebbuġa was yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to attempting to seriously injure two women in his hometown on Monday morning.
Magistrate Silvio Meli heard how James Demanuele allegedly attempted to seriously injure the two women, caused under €1,164 in damage to a car, drove negligently, threatened the women and breached the public peace.
He also pleaded not guilty to relapsing.
Police Inspector Priscilla Caruana prosecuted.
