Following the recent announcement by the European Central Bank to raise the interest rates, Volksbank Malta has also adjusted the interest rates payable to customers on current, retail and term deposit accounts.
The new rates are published on the bank's website. Commenting on these rates, the bank's managing director Herbert Skok announced that the Volksbank is now paying 2 per cent interest on current accounts which provide the chequebook facility.
