VIDEO: Palestinian President meets Gonzi
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas this morning had talks with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi at Castille and went on a walkabout at the Barrakka Gardens (see video).
Both emphasised the good relationship between the two countries. Mr Abbas said the Palestinian authorities have always appreciated Malta’s “balanced” position on the Middle East issue; keeping contact with the Israeli government while staying besides the Palestinians when it came to safeguarding their rights.
