After reading an article in the Labour media mentioning his party's past flirtation with fascism, Angelo Micallef (Politics Of The Old School Still Alive) seems to have formed the opinion that this goes against the grain of Joseph Muscat's new way of doing politics.
He seems to imply that any mention of historical events reflecting negatively on the Nationalist Party only serves to show that the Labour Party is stuck in the past.
What is contradictory is that this is coming from someone who associates himself with a party that continually makes it a point to remind us all of Labour's past mistakes.
Does this not bother Mr Micallef? Is he of the opinion that this is also spreading the politics of hate that bothers him so much?
As a remedy, is Mr Micallef suggesting that the only way forward in a new style of politics would be a total ban on any articles pointing out both of the parties' past mistakes?
Or does Mr Micallef believe that only one party should have a God-given right to mention the other's darker periods?
