I have just returned from another wonderful holiday in Malta - meeting old friends, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and looking forward to another holiday.

Last week I received the Maltadirect winter brochure with details of flights from Scotland, which surprised me as I had thought Air Malta were stopping flights from Scotland. So you can imagine my disappointment when after a phone call to Air Malta call centre it was confirmed that flights from Scotland have been discontinued and the brochure was printed before this decision was made.

Flying to Malta via London from Scotland is not really an option when it involves two overnight stays in Gatwick plus expensive internal flights.

On a separate issue is change on buses. I was surprised to be told that "there is no change on this bus" when I tendered €1 for two 47 cent tickets. Only in Malta?
