A memorandum of understanding was signed on July 3 between the Competitive Malta Foundation and the University of Malta's Public Policy Department regarding the possibility of students reading for public policy degrees undertaking research on topics relating to domestic competitiveness and co-operation on issues relating to the role of Malta's human resource base in achieving a competitive edge. The memorandum was signed by rector Juanito Camilleri and Public Policy Department head Godfrey Pirotta on behalf of the University, and by Competitive Malta Foundation vice-president and Toly Products CEO Andy Gatesy on behalf of the think tank.
