Systec wins HP awards again

Hewlett Packard has presented Raphael Micallef Trigona, managing director of Systec Ltd - the Largest Enterprise Distributor Award for 2007, for the six-country cluster communications data group (CDG).

Patrick Diaz, who is in Malta to develop HP's server and storage business here, said: "We are impressed by the performance achieved by Systec Ltd in Malta. In the enterprise corporate market, Systec has out-performed all other HP distributors in the territory both in terms of size and growth in 2007; 2008 looks like more of the same. HP blades and storage lead the worldwide market share and I am pleased to see that Systec has developed the local channel to achieve the acceptance that HP currently enjoys locally.

"The fact that Systec has earned this award for the third consecutive year is a reflection of the training investment by the company and certification achievement by our qualified personnel, as well as the solid relationships developed with our channel partners.

"We have been convinced for some time of the technology trend to virtualisation technologies, particularly for servers and network storage in the corporate market, and in this respect, Systec was the first VMWare VIP Enterprise Partner in Malta, qualifying since 2006.

"With the virtualisation trend becoming the preferred configuration architecture for servers and storage, combined with the recent interest in solutions for the virtualised desktop, Systec has continued to invest accordingly. Systec has recently been appointed as VMW are Authorised Consultants - the only such company in Malta. This will add further value to the installed base in terms of pre-sales and post-sales certified consultancy services at their disposal."

In a re-inforcement of recognition to Systec Ltd, Hewlett Packard has once again awarded the prestigious HP Blade Ambassador Award 2007, for the CDG country cluster, to Systec technical consultant Nuno Fernandes. As with the distributor award, this is the third consecutive year that HP has presented this award to Mr Fernandes.
