Maltese composer, author win awards in Kazakhstan

Paul Giordimaina and Eleanor Cassar have won the Best Song Award and the Astana City Award for a duet in a song contest in Kazakhstan that marked the 10th anniversary of the country's capital. The winning song, called The Envy Of The World, will be used to promote the capital Astana and the team is scheduled to return in a few weeks' time to film the video of the song.

The song was composed by Mr Giordimania with words by Fleur Balzan.

A total of 32 songs competed with 27 songs being interpreted by Kazakh singers and the rest by artistes from the Philippines, Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia and Malta. Participation in this contest was made possible by b. Right new media Ltd.
