The party said that Victor Axiak, the head of the University's Biology Department, will head the commission. The members will include environment expert Alan Pulis and engineer Frederick Azzopardi.

They have been commissioned to study the use of water and electricity throughout the building, how recycling can improve and how to reduce waste.

The report will be concluded by October.
