American theatre group tackles politics and religion

The American Catholic theatre group Drachma, which aims to raise awareness of homosexuality and transgender issues in line with Christianity, is due to visit Malta next week.

The group will be performing The Re-Education Of George W. Bush and Transfiguration - Transgressing Gender In The Bible at Warehouse No. 8, Off Racecourse Street, Marsa next Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m.

Both plays are written and performed by Peterson Toscano, a US-based comic and theatrical performance activist who performs throughout North America and Europe and regularly appears on US television and films.
