Past Lyceum students to celebrate feast of St Anne
The Association of Lyceum Past Students (ALPS) will be marking its annual celebration of the feast of St Anne in the St Anne chapel in Pwales Valley, which the association has now been taking care of for the past eight years.
The feast will be held tomorrow with Holy Mass starting at 6.30 p.m.
Following Mass with the participation of the ALPS Choir there will be a short talk by Walter Glynn and Roderick Busuttil, who over the past months have been researching the chapel's history over the centuries in close collaboration with ALPS. The talk will be followed by entertaining singing by the ALPS Choir and light refreshments for all.
ALPS president George dei Conti Stagno Navarra said this year's feast will be special in more ways than one. The extensive research has brought to light some interesting, previously unknown or little-known facts, supported by information from Aldo Leone Ganado of Sliema who roamed the Pwales Valley for several years in his childhood and youth. All the information has been included in an eight-page booklet that ALPS has published on the occasion of the feast.
The research into the St Anne chapel's history was primarily done for the website www.kappellimaltin.com, where it can now be perused together with some pictures by Caroline Camenzuli.
